WELCOME TO THE SPIRITUAL HUB

Where We Explore the Richness and Depth of the Christian Spiritual Tradition

Regardless of the extent to which we love God and are aware of his love for us we can be assured that a far greater abundance of that love is there, waiting for us to encounter. Our spiritual journey is one that takes us ever deeper into God's love. Here at The Spiritual Hub we are setting out to build a community and resource centre for all those wishing to follow the way of spiritual development as it has been practiced in the Church for two thousand years.

Exploring the teachings of our Christian spiritual heritage leads to the discovery of an increasingly awe-inspiring appreciation of the meaning and purpose of our lives. It opens the way to a greater understanding of the wisdom which Jesus taught. This is a knowledge and understanding which is far more than drab intellectual information, for it is one which both shows the way and opens the way to the ever deepening experience of God's Light and Love. It draws us into a closer intimacy with Christ, allowing his gift, as the Prince of Peace, to awaken ever more fully in our hearts.

We recognize that the teachings of the great Christian spiritual leaders throughout all the centuries are as important and relevant today as they always have been and always will be because they explained, have applied and passed on the most profound and illuminated teachings which God has revealed from generation to generation. This wisdom and light cannot become out dated, for it expresses the unchanging nature of the Divine as he manifests to humanity. This is the Tradition which built the Church and which has always informed the spiritual life and ministry of the Church and its people.

At The Spiritual Hub we are seeking to build a community of those who would like to engage more fully with our Christian spiritual heritage and tradition. To do this we are beginning with a bookshop and introducing the labyrinth to those who are unfamiliar with it. Other resources which can serve to assist on the spiritual journey will be gradually added.

While largely Anglican in emphasis all spiritual seekers, of all denominations, of any faith or none are welcome. We hope you enjoy exploring this website and if you have any questions or comments please contact us. We invite you to join with us as we journey on in Christ.

A 'Hub' Website. In order to provide information and resources as advantageously as possible we have made use of web facilities offered by others. In doing so this site has become 'the hub' of several other sites. You will therefore find that inbrowsing this site you are sometimes led to an external website. However, all the information on these sites has been developed by us and can be regarded as being part of this site. Wherever possible connecting links have been established.

Our Appreciation. We would like to express our gratitude to the Verulam House Trust, Diocese of St Albans, for their sponsorship.
